Design -with material you find in your house- a mask that hides your true identity, but represents you as part of a group. Wear this mask and make a selfie.

Face mask assignment

Explanation

I am part of a specific group: Spaniards. When I first arrived in The Netherlands everyone had some assumptions about Spanish people: we are kind of "not sophisticated", but really outgoing and cheerful. Some people say that we talk too much (sometimes) and we are lazy.

For that reasons I looked for some materials at home that represent me as part of this group, but also show that these assumptions are not completely real (at least in my case hahahah).
I used cardboard because it appeals somehow to the "not sophisticated" part (although it is not true), but I tried to combine it with angular/sharp look, that we usually find on sci-fi films, to represent ME as part of the group.
The green plastic in the outer part is a way of showing our easygoing and openminded behaviour. With a cover over the mouth for the too-much talking part.
